Jakub Joachim, born 1978, got his first camera at the age of 10. At the age of 14, won 1st prize in the youth category of the national Czech Amateur Photographers‘ Competition, followed by 1st prize in the Gipuzkoa young photographers‘ competition, and then participation and several prizes in Praha fotografická and Czech Press Photo competitions.
Studied applied photography at the Hellichovka Prague Graphic School (SPŠG) and has since been working as a free-lance photographer, covering everything from daily life and corporate events to portraits and family photography... or just mood.
Focuses on documentary photography, both black-and-white and colour.
